How soon did you go to the gym after baby was born?

After my baby is born, I want to get into shape as soon as possible, but I know "as soon as possible" doesn't mean right after. About four weeks after my baby is born(I'm assuming), I plan on taking one class that will benifit me one step closer to getting a job I'd really like to have that would help me work my way up to a good carreer, I would only need a babysitter(family) to watch my baby and toddler once a week for about four hours and I can easily have that covered. Well, while my husband is deployed and after my baby is born, I plan on being an active mom for my family. I plan to take walks with my newborn and toddler(with the help of my sister) around the park frequently, cut out bad food, go to class, and learn to drive. I really want to fit into a certain size again before my husband comes back, for myself, not him.

I plan on going to the gym by myself or with my sister, but how soon do you think I can? I know babies are all different(and my memory of how my first baby was is kind of dull), but around how old are they when they don't need to be fed frequently and sleep more than four hours(so family can watch him/her)? Do you think it would be ok to go to the gym atleast three times a week and be gone for three hours(one hour to go and come back, two hours there). My family won't mind watching the baby and my toddler because we already have this planned out that sometime when the baby can sleep through the night or not be fed every two hours and would be ok, I'd try and go to the gym. I think when I get used to working out, it'll give me more energy. Is that true? and how soon did you start going to the gyrm after your baby was born?
