toys r us & circuit city confirmed they'll have wii's.
neither could confirm how many.

both said they don't know how they're gonna sell them, that it'll depend on how many people show up and if there is camping.

toys r us is opening at 9
circuit at 10.

i get off work at midnight tonight. i was thinking of getting up at 6, getting down there as soon as i can, hopping on whichever line was shorter (or, if there was no line just sit in my car until i needed to get out).

think that'll work or do i have to work harder?

SIDE NOTE: my friend is also trying to get a wii. so he went to NINTENDO WORLD in TIMES SQUARE at 11AM today and was surprised that there were none left. gotta laugh

I haven't played video games for years. I want a Wii, but I don't want to pay $400 for one on ebay. I'd rather wait a few hours and save the $150.

If you think it's lame, don't buy one, I call it saving money.

i'm hoping my target doesn't have a line and actually has wiis.

toysrus will have them, but it might be a required bundle purchase
(i don't need another wiimote, 2 games, and warranty)

If you tend to stay up, I would go check before you go to bed. I did that last week and found two people waiting at 1am. Luckily, I went back home, grabbed a sleeping bag (and a friend) and got in line. There were only 3 wiis, luckily we got there when we did.

Most people showed up within an hour of opening. I'd get there at least 2 hours early.

ugh, camping would be absurd. especially since it's freezing out

and they're saying that more and more wii's are getting sold every day.

WHERE? everywhere around me (NY) is sold out all the time.

okay, it's 1am.

i passed by toys r us and circuit city. campers at both...i'd say a lot at toys r us.

do i go back the 13 miles and camp or just sleep till 6?

My girlfriend and I are going to go hang out and wait until morning.

The Vein- Did anyone try any funny business? I'm not sure whether I should go armed or not.

I'm wondering what would happen if a bunch of people step in the front of the line.

Lets see a post you've made about a Wii that was at all worthwhile. This does not include how much you sold your wii for or how hardcore you are.

Camping wasn't that bad. For most of the night it was only me, my buddy and the two other people. They were friendly and we just did random stuff to prevent boredom.

It was upper 30s and I was plenty warm in my sleeping bag

If you have a PSP or DS just bring that.

Like I said, just show me one post that might accidently be conceived as worthwhile

You dont own a wii, you apparently don't want one (unless you can sell it) so why troll a forum dedicated to them?

Brilliant!

The guy who was there (luckily he was nice ) just kept saying he'd vouch for us and we'd vouch for him, so between the 4 of us, we had everything pretty well covered.

The few of us who were there really early knew how many they were getting, but the line behind us apparently thought they were getting a bunch in... because noone really rushed up or anything.

My friend brought his knife (more for the hell of it than anything..) If you live in a bigger city, I'd definatly bring something. People know thousands of dollars are about to leave that store
