Here's the deal. I have "had" Buttons since November 08. He was a little kitten then (maybe two months old). He came up on my porch and I gave him some tuna fish and he never left. As a kitten, he would never come near me or let me touch him. As he has gotten older, he rubs up against my legs, and follows me in the yard, he even jumps up on my lap and lets me rub him. I have never attempted to pick him up or invited him in. I have really bonded and I would like to take him to my new place across town ( I'm moving in December), I just don't know what to do. How can I make him completely comfortable? How can I get him to trust me? What is the best way to transport him? Also, I have a little dog that lives indoors with me. She likes to chase him around, so I am not too sure how well they will both do inside if that's even an option. My boyfriend really likes him and he thinks I should try to get him used to coming inside the house over the next couple months to possibly make it an easier transition. I have never owned a cat so I am completely clueless. Please help.
