Well I have finally come to that point in my life when I need to apply to college! And I have narrowed down my brainstorming and planning and have picked a point that I want to specify on while writing my essay...
I am part of a non-profit organiozation called Teens Against Poverty (TAP) and I was a co-founder of the group. Basically me and a bunch of friends host events that help raise money for children and families in poverty. So far we have these accomplishments:
HIV medicine for 2 children for 1 year
22 Cows for rural families
166 pair of new sneakers
A clean water well in Cameroon, Africa
Over $1,200 to "Survive to Five" for medical care and vaccines
Over $200 to SaveTheChildren.org to help hurricane victims in Galveston, TX
A lavatory facility at a school in Sri Lanka that previously had no facility.
$170 to earthquake victims in the Abruzzo region of Italy.
Over $1,000 to Sister Mary, Mary Knoll Sister working in Tanzania Africa.
Construction of two homes in Nicaragua through the Nicaraguan Housing Development Program and Food For The Poor.
And much more...
Basically I feel like this is my best personal achievement in my life and that's why I am chosing it for my essay! But the problem is, I just really don't know where to start or how to even construct the essay. I've tried tons of different ideas but can't find one that "clicks". So any help would be VERY appreciated!
