How should I present a contract fee quote for a job to ghostwrite/edit a book?

I have been asked to ghostwrite/edit a book that will be about 200,000 words long--which is about 450-500 typewritten pages. I know the fee I believe is fair and consistent with 'industry standards.' Should I just explain the fee to the client, or should I also provide a "fact sheet" or "rate sheet" by a professional organization that has a recommended fee structure to show I am being reasonable in the fee quote? The only hesitation about citing the cited fee structure would be that I am wondering if the client might think it was amateurish. What would you recommend.
