How should I prepare for my debate tomorrow?

The topic is, Is treating homosexuality unethical. Our side is no, it is not. I've never been in a debate, but I wanna do a good job. We have 6 people on each team. Do I need a rebuttal? My roommate said somthing about one. Please explain what it is. Thanks!
 
Get lots of facts off the internet and take notes. If you know a lot about debating or your really prepared , volunteer to stand and talk about what is right. If not when some one is talking and they mess up give them some notes to take with them.

You do need a rebuttal, and a lot of facts too. Basically, you need two things for your debate. The first thing is to have a LOT of good, proven evidence that is fact (not opinion) to support your argument. The second part (the rebuttal) is where you anticipate the argument for the other side...so you need to research the other side of the issue, too, and see what kind of evidence they are going to have against you. Then use your evidence and come up with a good argument to go against their argument against you! Ugh. Good luck!
