Last august, i did the camp triathlon, totally unprepared, no practice, or anything. there was a sprint, a bar hanging, and a 2 1/2 mile race (which i walked because i was dieing in the 1st 5 minutes, took me almost 2 hours to finish) this year, i'll be 17 in july, the triathlon is August 6th, im 5'1, about 140 lbs last time i saw a Dr. (4+ months ago) with ll this stuff in mind, what do you think i should do to train, and when should i START training?

the sprint takes me about 1-2 minutes to finish, but i don't remember how long it is, after, i was in pain (upper leg) for about 3-4 days, and was close to an asthma attack. for the bar hang, i just hold the bar, and hold on as long impossible (about 15 seconds last time i tried) should my hands face toward me, or away? the race is about 2 1/2 miles. and there is a part where i go through water that's up to my knees, and its about 10 feet wide. its through woods. I do this for team points, so i must do all 3 things. what other advice can you give me?
i was weareing socks, shoes and jeans through the water, but whats best for feet? crocks (make my feet sweaty without socks, my feet will get blisters if i do since i'll be going through water) regular shoes (took 2 days to dry & i HAVE to wear them at all times, so they were wet for 2 days!) or sandles/flip flops?
well, this is how we do it at camp, and we call it a triathalon
we only do 1 thing a day.
digit1001: i dont have any bars to hang on....
but i do know how to mimic the stress on my arms.....is that safe?
