How should I go about making a fansite for a series of books?

I'm looking for good (free) places to host it, and creative ideas. The series is "Hallowmere" by Tiffany Trent, and it has a sort of dark fantasy theme. Lots of fairies and magic!

BTW, Sorry if this is the wrong category for this, but I couldn't really figure out where I should put it, so...
