Okay so I got suspended this semester for possession of marijuana for just the fall semester. Ive done some research and found out that the school that I am applying to has decriminalized marijuana within its city. On that note I am aware that the "I once was a drug addict" story is not the best approach to this issue because schools usually will not willing admit drug addicts. So I was told that I should address this issue in my personal statement but I am not sure how to without making it seem like I was a drug addict. I used to smoke because of stressful financial and family scenarios but can someone help me formulate my thoughts so to speak?
