How should I feel about a friend that won't come for the holidays unless a

home-cook meal is served? The past several years, I've invited a single friend and co-worker, who lost her mother 3 years ago, to my house on holidays so she wouldn't be alone. I told her that this year I needed a break from cooking and if she came we would be going out to eat. She seemed a little miffed and said, in effect, that it wouldn't seem like the holidays eating in a restaurant and if she had to make the 90 mile round-trip to my house, she could just as well stay in her town and go out to eat. This made it seem to me that she was only coming to my house for the food and not the company. I'm not sure how to feel about this or what to do.
