How should I do my hair for a semi-formal dance at school?

My hair comes to about 4 inches past my shoulders and is kind of in layers, I have side bangs to about my cheek now. I'll be wearing a spaghetti strap black dress that's fairly low and that comes to about my knees. I really need to know how to make my hair look good and I don't care if it's up or down.
