I will be building a "smaller" size riding space with sand footing by my barn but I don't know what shape it should be. I do a lot of lunging with my young horses and I could really use a good spot for that instead of an uneven field, but when it comes to riding should it be more oval or rectangular? Some people don't think riding in a circle is good, any suggestions?
