How should i decorate a piece of material for my friend?

My friend is moving to another city for uni, and she gave me a piece of white/cream material about 15cm by 15 cm (i think thats about half a foot).
She wants me to decorate it for her so she can remember me, but i have no ideas about how to decorate material.
I can't draw particularly well, but i can try a bit, but i wanted it to have more than one medium
i would appreciate any ideas :)
