My husband and I have a one year old. We went over to his grandmother's house the other night. We were sitting down watching TV, and my son touched the TV. She yelled at him to stop, and my husband picked him up and moved himand told him no. Then, she yelled at my husband telling him not to interfere when she is disciplining him- she told him that she is in charge of our son when he is in her house- and told my husband to shut his mouth and deal with it. She is very controlling and hard to deal with. Any time she talks about my son she says negative things. She is very negative about our parenting- she thinks we are overprotective because we don't let him play around the fireplace. It is a very tough situation to deal with, and I would like to handle it calmly. We don't want a big fight. I am not sure how to handle her.
