how should I cook my small pot roast?

cook it but beware it will cook fast and you may want to sear it in a frying pan first to seal the juices, as it will cook quickly use caution to not over cook it, if adding other ingredients chop fine so everything cooks quickly
 
i always get a big pot i dunno what its called but its what u cook a turkey in, brown the roast first with onions, then add water not covering it though, and i add beef broth and let it cook, keep adding liquid as the liquid evaporates, keep lid on it but i always slant the lid so the steam can come out, then add carrots, and when its pretty much done i add cut up red potatoes and let it kinda boil for a little then take the lid off and let the potatoes finish in the oven, sorry its not in the oven recipe, but it always falls apart that way for me so good
 
if it's that small, I wouldn't roast it in the oven and allow it to shrink any more. I would brown it well in some shortening in a large skillet, browning it well on all surfaces, then put it in a slow cooker for 6 hours on low. I would also add some potatoes, carrots, glass of wine, some mushrooms, 3 bay leaves, half dozen black peppercorns, teaspoon of kosher salt and perhaps a can of tomatoes.
