I'm a first-year college student. I live at home, financial aid pays for my tuition, and I use my mom's car - so I don't really have a need for an installment loan. After apping four times for a card, I was approved for a 1k limit credit card with my dad as a co-signer. My question is, where should I go from here? Should I wait about 6months for the inquiries to fade, then app for a few more CC's, should I take out a personal loan just to diversify my credit? What should my strategy be to have a good score before I graduate? Just a note, I plan on utilizing no more than 10% of my credit, and will pay in full each month. Thanks much!
