I had 2 clownfish one recently passed away. Is there any way to lower or eliminate territorial issues when I bring in a new one?

something may be wrong with the water like levels aren't right you can get little water testing strips at a pet store so you can make sure the water is safe for them.

Um well id make sure that the new clown fish is not as funny as the old one, because the old one might kick his butt if he is. Also id make sure that the old clowns material is copyrighted, that way if the fish do hate each other, the new one wont take the old ones jokes. make sure that the new clown fish does not all hog all the material such as clown shoes, make up, rubber noses, etc. if you dont that might end up bad..............thats all i got. good luck

how big is the one you currently have?

if it's fully mature there isn't much you can do (except maybe try to divide the tank for a while and let them get used to each other)

if it's still fairly small introduce a larger clown, preferably one that's already sexually mature and female. the younger one should submit and the larger shouldn't be to aggressive, being new and all
