How should I approach this egg drop project?

So tomorrow a physics project is due. I need a little help. I have to drop an egg in a container, no bigger than 15cm x 15 cm x 15 cm, from 1.5 meters. Then at rooftop level which is about 3 meters. Oh, and you have to be able to see 25% of the egg. Plus, I can't hard boil the egg.

I'm limited on supplies however, I do have a general idea.

I was planning on tying straws into itself then wrapping it around 75% of the egg. Then covering the insides of the box with cotton material.

Any better ideas/suggestions?
