How should i approach her ?

There is this chick that likes me and I like her too. we have a lot of classes with each other but it's always awkward when we talk to each other. She doesn't know that I like her and I'm new to the school which sucks. But I want to know how should i start a conversation with her. And why do I feel weird when I'm in school but more of myself when I'm at home ? And how would stop being weird or shy when I'm at a public place or a school ? Thanks for Reading Please HELP ME OUT
