together? I have had a crush on her for nearly a year. We barely interact. We both go to the same anime club and we both play ps3. She is a video gamer girl and I love that among a lot of other things I've learned from her online facebook/myspace profile. I've bumped into her a few times but only briefly [about a minute or 2] to say hi and not much else. [I froze up back then when we first met]. Just recently I got a job and now I have money to actually date. So I mustered the guts to call her up. When I called her up on the phone, did some small talk[10-15 minutes], then asked her out to eat [lunch, dinner, etc] on a first date, she turned me down.
What do I keep talking to her about? The entire reason I called her up was to ask her out. But I feel it would be wrong to say "k thx, gotta go bye". So what can I keep talking about during this awkwardness? How would I play it cool and keep talking without breaking down in frustration feeling "nooo she turned me down nooooooo". Basically I want to save face on this first rejection with her by conversing like everything is okay but really this situation SUCKS!!!!
