How scared must Obama be of gun owners to back down over remanufactured ammo

without a fight? I and many other recreational shooters have been sickly worried about what Obama will do to our 2nd ammendment rights, our ability to have and shoot guns of our choice. But barely a week went by after his first act in which the DOD was ordered to melt down brass rather than sell it to be remanufactured for civilian shooters, and he already backed down. Just the same way, we haven't heard peep about the so called assault weapons ban since Pelosi dismissed it. Is he biding his time, or doesn't he have the onions of a Dick Cheney to take on controversial issues?
 
I haven't figured out why he backed down so quickly other than someone finally told him how much buzz is surrounding his stance and that he is moving forward too soon on the agenda. By no means is he done, he'll just try another avenue.

EDIT: and someone else mentioned the pilot issue, very true! As for all who doesn't believe he has an agenda, please check his senate voting records and what he has supported. He knows he cannot touch the second amendment without a revolt of some kind--so he seeks to make it VERY HARD to get.
 
Right now his popularity is too low to attack the 2nd ammendment. He is going to take a beating when he tries to legalize immigration. So, I think its going to take a while before they attack guns. If the media makes a big deal about a shooting, then watch out. Because Obama will take advantage of any crisis he can find.
 
It’s a shell game, Obama backs down from an empty act and then turns and says “look I’m on your side I can be reasonable”. Then when he thinks he has the trust of the normal lawful Americans who own guns he will say "look I gave you your brass but you have to give up your guns, it’s only fair".
You can’t grow Government, make it part of every aspect of your life and expect to have freedom and liberty. It’s not in their interest to have a populous capable of fighting tyranny.
 
Obama was never focused on gun restrictions. That was never his agenda. Far-right wingers made that up, as has been proven by your point. It was never his goal to bother the 2nd amendment. Maybe this will get the point through some thick skulls.
 
That's simple.
2 reasons...
First, because he's a BigPussy.
Second because the NRA is paying him off one way or another.
 
He has better aim than Dick Cheney..........at least he can hit the birds and not his hunting buddies.

No one is buying that NRA crap anymore except skinheads and Kulxers.........
