Seventh Day adventists believe? Ok. I am a Seventh-Day Adventist and I used to think this was just nonsense. That this could never occurr. However, as I begin to see how ultra-conservative evangelicals have a lot of influence in government, especially in the Republican Party, it does kind of ring a bell in my mind.
I always heard this at church, and had seen videos and stuff, but this was most church sponsored media, which I always qualified as just church propaganda to control people's minds haha.
But the other day, I watched the documentary "Jesus Camp" and it scared me a lot, since this was not a Seventh day adventist video or anything,, but still pointed out scary things that are happening amongst the ultraconservatives... things the Adventist church believe will lead to a National Sunday Worship law to occurr.
I'm pretty sure that if those people were to gain control someday, they would have no problem in trying to push for a worship day to "god".
It's scary how they mix politics and religion.
And then again, I always thought this could never happen in the US. But in times of desperation a lot of things can happen.
LIke if the economy were to go to a Great Depression, and more Katrina's started to occurr, I'm pretty sure this could be a possibility.
I'm not saying this will happen in the near future, but now that I know more of the ultra-conservative movement, it could very well be a possibility and maybe the Adventist church wasn't that out there as I thought. heh
Do you think it is a possiblity?
