HOW ON EARTH does one transfer photos from a computer to a usb flash drive?

Everyone talks about how simple it? is blah, blah, blah, but I just got a Sandisk 16gb usb 2 flash drive and, let me tell you, IT IS EVERYTHING BUT EASY.
You know how easy it would be if I designed these devices? Read on:

1) plug in the usb into the usb port
2) a window ALWAYS AUTOMATICALLY appears and asks you if you want to do either: A) transfer all files (pictures, video, audio) to the usb drive B) transfer ONLY pictures to the usb drive C) Transfer only video D) transfer only audio E) custom transfer a combination of files (which when selected would bring up ALL your files in a neat, easy-to-see window from which you could click and drag into a blank usb window.) Now THIS, my friends, is what would be REALLY easy; so easy that a 9 year-old could do it, not the crap that's called "easy" that is in fact HARD AS HELL.
Hey, Josh, you arrogant moron. It is hard just to FIND the goddamn program that is associated with the USB drive, let alone jumping ahead to the copy & paste business. Had I been able to get this far, I would not be asking this question, now would I, Josh???

1. Click on the picture you want to transfer
2. Click "copy"
3. Go to the flash drive
D. Click "paste"

Extremely difficult, I know.

Just keep your pictures in a folder and if you don't want that you can still do what I am about to write. Insert your USB flash. If any windows pops up cancel that. Right click on the pictures (or folders) you want to transfer, click on "Send to...", you should see the USB flash memoery drive (option) among the lists of places you can send your document or folder to... Select that, sit back and watch your files being copied into the flash...

Good luck

LOL windows does all that but in reverse. Double click my computer. double click the usb drive. Minimize the window. Open the folder with your pictures. click and drag a line around all the pics you want on the usb. When you let go of the mouse button they will all be highlight blue. click and drag the highlighted files to the minimized window on the taskbar.
