How old do you have to be to work in a restaurant?

I handed my CV into a local restaurant today, but I noticed that they served alcohol there. Could I still get a placement there as a waitress or something? They accepted my CV. I'm fifteen.
I'm in England, and I'm still continuing to study, I just want some part time work like at weekends and evenings.
 
For any job, one has to be a major which means completion of 18 yrs of age. Otherwise it amounts to child labour. Pl continue your studies for at least 3 more years. Then you may get a much higher post. All the best. -bhaarathi bhaaskaran chennai India
