How often should I wash my hair?

Yesterday I got my hair cut into a short (above shoulder length) bob. All the same length though, anyway I used to have long hair and I washed it everyday. My hair is really really thick! I don't want it to be greasy or flat! How often should I wash my hair now? Should it change or not?

I just want everyones opinion and to know what your hair's like and when you wash it...thanks
