This one is ment more specifically for Marines, Spec. Ops guys, nukes, and people like that. I want to know how often you get to see your spouses both during and after training?
P.S Im the one thinking about spec. ops and marine corps
Yes I know that Marines aren't spec. ops. MARSOC is, but Im asking about both

For the Marines:

During boot camp - at family day and graduation
During MOS training - a weekend or two depending on how far away you live from it, unless it's long enough that they'll let you move with him
After training (in the fleet) - it varies widely, for myself, in the past year my husband has been gone for two different TAD trips each a couple weeks long and then has now been deployed for 5 months. So he's been home for about 6 months of the last year. During the week he usually works 7 - 7 and then has (most) weekends off.

This should give you a general idea of what happens but there are a lot of factors that affect it.

It truly truly depends on a lot of different things. There for there is no real answer to this until you are living it out. My husband and I have been married over 2 years. 6 months after marriage he went to Iraq for 7 months. Was home for about 3, trained on and off for 6 months (6 weeks gone a few weeks home, gone again etc, etc, etc...) and left in March for a 7 month deployment to Afghanistan.

I also wanted to add that just because he is Specops does not mean you won't see him at all. The guys above me clearly have no idea what they are talking about.
