How often are you finding yourself rebooting your phone?

I dont know if it is just me, my usage habits or my IMAP server but i find myself rebooting my phone about one a day.

I have the phone setup with the standard mail client via IMAP4 and have it auto check every 15 minutes. The thing is when i go into areas where i loose service the phone does not reconnect to check email, and when i go in to disconnect it (because it says it is still connected) and reconnect it the mail client freezes and i cannot do anything so i have to reboot the phone.

Is this normal for my e50 or is it just its break in period? So far i am extremely pleased with the calendar and everything else, but as of right now i could not recommend anyone this phone because of email performance.

Does anyone have any advice for me?

Thanks in advance.

I use profimail for email so I don't encounter that problem but I usually reboot once every two days just to clear out all of the memory leaks.

i bought the phone for 4 months, and i only rebooted 3 times (because i need to turn off the phoen for my test) other than that there is no need to reboot, the phone is very stable

Maybe there is a firmware update for your phone.

I'm not familiar with the E50, but is it configured to play a sound when new mail comes? I used to have to reboot my 6620 almost daily, but it was caused by having the mp3 ringtone on the mmc card. Now I only reboot about once a week, or if i notice something not working quite right.

At this point I'm rebooting about once ever two to three weeks. The main reason being that there are a few apps with slight memory leaks, and when I use the phone for a prolonged period I eventually end up with little or no free memory.

Uhm I guess Im the only one who does it atleast 2-3 times a day?!

Its not necessary but it bothers me when I see that only 10mb or ram is available.

I have Agile running 24/7 and that takes about 5mb(from what I see on taskman) to run. Then theres the random wifi surfing.

I've got the E50 as well and really dont turn it off anymore. At the beginning I had to do a reboot or two but looking back, I chalk that down to instalibilty from testing, trying and installing and uninstalling a lot of programs.

But I've had it since December and in the past two months I have only turned it of maybe 2-3 times and not for crashing.

I unfortunately find myself rebooting my N80 almost daily.
Usually when using WiFi. If I stick to GPRS/EDGE data only I don't seem to run into problems

If your WLAN connection locks up constantly, you may want to install the Nokia WLAN wizard. It'll close those pesky locked connections 100% of the time...

The only times ive had to reboot my N73 or E61 is when Smart2Go freezes up and shows a white screen. They've both been good to me otherwise

Sometimes Google maps goes on a rampage of asking me access points, and that's when I reboot most of the times. Other times some random stuff happens, that makes you boot every 3-4 days.

Nope...youre not the only one...between agile running whenever Im not home, wifi and gprs browsing, and whatever else I manage to do, the ram leaks away....
