Ok, I'm having trouble understanding how ASVAB are graded and how i get my AFQT score. The first time i took the test i got an 57 (nowadays recruiters want you to score 50 and above) and my recruiter told me to retake it and try to get 60 or above, then my second time i went down to 43 or 44.

I just want to know how its scored part by part...For example i know for a fact that i answered 30 out of 35 on WK (Word Knowledge), 20 out of 30 on AR (Arithmetic Reasoning)....And the rest like Paragraph Comprehension (PC) and Mathematics Knowledge (MK) i dont know what i scored on so i'll just throw out numbers like on (PC) lets say i answered 8 out of 15 and on (MK) i scored 10-15 out of 25

i just want to know how i got a 43-44 on my test when i got 20 out of 30 on (AR) and 30 out of 35 on my (WK). How do they grade each part?

P.S

If im not making any sence please let me know and ill try to fix my question...Thank you for taking the time to answer my question and for your understanding =P

Yeah, I know, it's way too confusing...
but i think they combine your separate subject scores, highest possible being 100 (total). i dunno, a guy i know in 11th grade made a 92 (and would NOT stop gloating), but yes, your question is also rather...um...worded kinda weird.
good luck.

I heard that you can score higher on the CAT-ASVAB.
Study, study, study...:)

But don't worry, it's VERY RARE for someone to score in the 90s. If you score 50 and above, you're in the safe zone. aka average
