There is no definite answer to this. There's no "around this much" because different shops charge different prices. Best bet if you're not mechanically savy is to go to a well known chain of maintenance shops like, Meinike, Midas, or even Sears where they guarantee the pads and shoes for as long as you own the vehicle. Often times they run specials for common vehicles and the Ranger is a common vehicle. I have an '03 Ranger Edge and did my own front brakes. It was easy. I bought my own pads from Advance Auto Parts with a lifetime warranty.
