How much would I sell a 93 Ford Explorer XLT with tranny problems for?

I'm looking to get rid of it as soon as possible however, I want to sell it for a decent price. I contacted a car dump about it and they offered me $150.... I'm not a car expert but I'm pretty sure I can get a little more for it then that. I know I can't sell it for thousands of dollars considering it's condition with the transmission which would probably cost thousands of dollars to replace or fix, but what should I sell it for at the very least?

Easy way...Look on Craigslist for other people selling the same car with the same miles and condition (except trans)
Using the average price, subtract 200.00-500.00 for the bad transmission....
Or....

If the vehicle is in otherwise good shape, and you know someone who can do the work, purchase a salvage yard trans, get it installed and sell the car...
