...and encased in glass.? I have this bronze mirror. I recently discovered it in a box I purchased from thrift...on front is standard design(center yin-yan, outer circle of holy animals, outer circle of inscriptions and geometric pattern.) it seems to be restored(good bronze color, little oxidation, good color yin-yan) and is enclosed in a thick glass block and set beside a pen holder. The back has writing inside the glass that says it is an excavated relic from the baekje dynasty made in 523 AD under the reign of moo-ryung. is simalr to those of the later Han era of china. is used to know directions, hours, and dates. back is polished bronze. it claims it is the only one of this kind of mirror excavated in Korea and speaks of their superb metal craftsmanship. Nothing on it suggest its a replica, How can I find how much it is worth, and how can I validate its authenticity?
