How much will Verizon charge me if I cancel in the beginning of the month?

I am canceling Verizon in order to get Comcast. I'm not in a contract right now but I am charged $55 a month. If I cancel in the beginning on the month, can they still charge me the price of internet for the entire month?
If my billing date is the 20th and I cancel on the 22th, do I have to pay the full price?
