How much will it cost to get a crack fixed in AC in a 1998 Toyota?

My car ac is broken. I went to autozone and bought a freon pump type of thing for $30 and then discovered that there was a crack and the freon was leaking (this is how my boyfriend explained it). It is a 1998 toyota corrola, any ideas how much it'll cost to get the crack fixed?
what I know is when my boyfriend tried to pump in the Freon purchased at AutoZone it leaked out from where he was pumping it into, never got to where it needed to be. I don't know if that helps you determine what it is that has a leak.
 
By crack, I assume that you mean a line is cracked? If this be the case, you will have to replace the bad line and evacuate the system and then recharge the system with the correct amount of freon. Lines vary in cost, so I really can't give you a figure without more information. Ball park figure, Freon $40.00, labour to remove the bad line is totally subjective, according to where and how difficult it is to get at. Give a bit more information and we will try to give you a better answer.
