How much will financial aid cover for ME?

I am in high school and I live with my mom. She's a single mom and makes about $30,000 per year. If I want to go to Cal State Northridge or San Diego State, how much will financial aid cover?

No one knows and can say for certain. My guess is you will have at least part of your tuition covered, but like I said, no one can tell you. You will just have to wait and see.

BTW, if anyone tries telling you how much you'll get, don't believe em. They're doing you a disservice.

fill out your fafsa. it will give you your EFC. this is your estimated family contribution. if it is low you get more money. it depends on how much money the feds give your school.

There's no way to know for sure. Each school decides it a little differently. It also depends on your EFC. However, 30,000 is not a lot of money. You will probably get enough grants to cover your tuition and books (maybe a little more) and you'll be eligible for stafford loans to cover housing, food, transportation, etc.
