can only hold 25lb line? OK well I'm going fishing in the jetties of S.C. and want to caught some 20lb-35lb fish and was wondering if i needed a stronger rod and reel. Thanks
theoretically, it can hold a dead weight of 25lb. but it can handle a fish much larger. that depends on the fisherman and his tackle. a rod rated for 25lb should work just fine. be sure you have a quality reel with a good drag. personally, l would use 15 or 20. you will cast better.
