I'm going to give myself a perm, I know how to d everything else, but how much waving lotion should I apply to each rod and where should I apply it? I've read all instructions online and on kits and watched a vid on how to do a perm, but I am still not getting the answer about the waving lotion. In the vid it looked like the girl was just applying a straight thin line of lotion across the hair at the top of each rod, Is this right, AND WILL IT JUST SEEP INTO THE REST OF THE HAIR TO PICK UP THE CURL? How can you tell when it is saturated? Please help and be specific with where and how to apply it PLEASE. Thank you so much
