How Much Water?

So the classic response I always get is 8 glass of water a day, but how much are we really supposed to drink? I've heard as much as 10 and as little as 6. Shouldn't it depend on our age, weight, etc?

Hello MyHeart916,

I really wouldn't worry to much about the amount of water you drink. At the end of the day yes it depends on your height, weight. But generally its 2l of water a day.

The 8 glasses a day guideline is a myth. It's based on a poorly done study from many decades ago. The truth is that you get most of the water you need from food. A healthy person does not need additional water unless sweating and transpiring from heat and physical activity. If you are thirsty, drink some water. If a healthy person is going to the bathroom more than once every two hours then he/she is drinking too much water.
