How much water should we take for a husky on a 3 mile hike?

And what is a good bowl to take because his cremic bowl won't fit in my backpack. Temp is supposed to be "High: 54° Low: 37°".
The temp is fahrenheit. In Texas. So it is winter here.

You can get brilliant fold up bowls, they are made from material and hold water very well and you can get large sized ones. I have one for my German Shepherd and it fold up really small. Here is a link of some of the things you can get to take on long walks.

Wow that is hot are you strong? you will need to carry alot of water for you and you're companion. I would say 5 litres for the both of you that sounds heavy but the more you drink for more you loose! :D i cant wait until i do this with my Alaskan malamute but i hope his not too old.

What a happy dog He/She will be : ) Where about in USA are you? that is hot, where are you hiking at? iM interested to know because hiking is my favourite thing : )

id take two litres at least, and as for a bowl, theres them folding ones, but personally i take a bottle with a sports cap on it, my dog drinks out of that. im in the uk, so its cooler here. on second thoughts take 4 litres;)
