How MUCH water for a vegetable garden?

Hi folks, I just planted some veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, butternut squash) along with some blueberries and basil and was wondering how much water to use? 5 litres? 10 litres? If I use a hose then how long should I keep watering?

Thanks in advance!

You can get a water meter at Lowe's, home depot, farm center places. They are about $10. Just stick the rod into the ground and it will tell you how much is there.

However I will let you know that dryer is better. If there is lots of water in the soil then the roots do not have to grow and find water. Big roots means big plants and more vegetables. I always foliage feed my plants. Pump up sprayer tablespoon Miracle grow to gallon water and spray all the leaves and stalk. On every plant. By the time you get to last one the first one will be ready for more. Over and over, Then next day or day after. Spray with water hose. You will be able to see it grow. Keep spraying each thing over and over. Until they stop growing. The the fertilizer in them gets used up. Keep the roots dry and soil loose. It takes a while to do. But relaxing.
