How much value of a car is lost (dimished value) when it gets into an accident, if

fixed by reputable shop.? I got into a pretty bad car accident which will cost the insurance company over $12k. My fear is that selling my car will be more of a challenge down the road and the value of it will be diminished. How do I get that amount from the insurance company and how much value is lost?
