I had a 90 toyota 4x4 and ended up totaling the body of the truck, but the engine is still good! So we got a 92 toyota 4x4 body thinking the trucks where the same, but they are not. For some reason they changed a bunch of stuff that year and the wiring harness don't match.

So I am wondering where I can find a 92 toyota truck motor at and how much do you think it would cost. I also want to know how much I can sell my 90 motor for once we get a new one. It has some miles about 200,000 ,but its a toyota and has been taken care of.

What do you think? Thank you!

Oh, yeah, they sneak up on you with those changes inbetween years, don't you know it!! I had a 91 Corolla that had bad doors and hood, found a 90 at junkyard and got those. They're surely the same thing. Uh, uh, slight changes which made difference. Hood won't fully close now. It latches, but tny bit of side won't fully flush.

Anyway, you might check with local junkyards. Oh excuuuse me---automobile recyclers. There's a huge national network that they are hooked up with. Sometmes, you hear a radio in background, with some guy talking about finding a bumper for a 57 chevy in Tennesee or a 87 buick tranny in California. They've got a network to search for parts, which would be for your 92 motor.
Also see if there's a toyota car club in your area. I'm sure there'd be some guys with toyota 4x4s that might help you out.

But as far as how much your 90 engine is worth? Maybe $200-400, depending upon if people want it. That's what "market value" is, whether they're in demand or not. You might ask the junkyard what they'd pay you, but you can be sure, it won't be as much as you'd want.
