I live in Australia and i'm pretty sure the market here is held hostage by the dealerships, we don't have a big population compared the US (20 million-ish) and most (not that there are too many) small shops don't survive too long. To get any work done on your bike your looking at up to $120 an hour for labour plus parts, so a basic service (oil, filter, plugs) can run you up to $400, and a service with valve clearances will do you for the best part of a grand. I already know im being shafted, im just curious as to how badly. So what does labour cost you guys and whats an average service cost ?
