How much to replace transmission pump 92 Ford Explorer?

I own a 92 Ford Explorer and need to replace the transmission pump. It was recently serviced (replaced filter and fluid) and was running better but now it slips between gears and is very slow to get into first gear. It's an automatic and it drives like I don't know how to work a manual. I was just curious as to how much it might cost to get it fixed. Thanks.
 
The transmission needs to be overhauled or replaced.
Least expensive solution is to call around your local salvage yards for a transmission. The Cash-For-Clunkers program has assured a plentiful supply of these transmissions despite the engines being destroyed.
 
you would be better off to let a transmission shop do this as this is a complete breakdown and while you are there you might as well have the trans rebuilt you can call around to find out the best deals
