How much to convert my car into a convertable?

For my birthday im getting my moms paid off pontiac grandam. Since im getting a car that wont cost me money my parents said they will get me a paint job and make into a convertable a slong as its less then a car. How much would that be if i want it just one color the internet gave me no help at all?
