I play social cricket and recently had my speed tested at 94km/h.
The ball was clocked as it passed the batter's stumps. It was a low, full-toss.
I know on TV, they take the measurement of speed as it leaves the bowlers hand, so does anyone know how much speed the ball will lose in the 20-odd metre distance from my hand to the other end?
I like to think that when I "bend the back" and "take the hand brake off" I'm just a little quicker then a flat off spinner!!
Thanks in advance
