How much should it cost to replace upper & lower control arms on an 03 Dodge Stratus?

The guy said the Ball Joints can't just be replaced and that the upper & lower control arms would have to be replaced, then the car will have to be aligned. I have received my quote and I am wondering if it is too high.
 
I seriously doubt you need upper and lower control arms on both sides. I would get it to another shop and get a second opinion. That car doesn't even have an upper control arm, the strut goes through the bearing plate.
 
Well depending how much he is charging you the parts alone cost about $450. and then labor and alignment
