I need to have the belt replaced and I was doing some research on forums and what not. A few said that you should replace the water pump, seals, and a bunch of other stuff. The manual seems to lead that the only things need replacing are the belt and tensioner springs. I guess my question is how much should this cost, what parts really need replacing (besides the belt), and is this something a car savvy friend could do, or should I take it to my mechanic? I dont know much about cars so I need advice from someone who knows cars. Preferably about this specific model, SE V6 if your wondering.
