how much should i pay for a 01 Suzuki Sv650?

hi, looking at getting an Sv650. It needs fork seals and has broken glass on the tach, bike has 3600 miles. Just wondering what a good price would be for the bike? and is it worth getting a newer as in 03 an up or will the 01 work just fine? he is asking $3000 but i want a good deal. what would you say is a good deal?

$300 less than the asking price. If he wants more he'll have to find another sucker or fix it himself first.

$1850 at most. Is the Frame Bent? Sounds like the bike was wrecked. You should inspect it a little more.
