How much should I offer the dealer for an Acura?

It's a 2006 Acura MDX Touring, 35k miles. He's asking $25,975. I'm horrible with car salesmen. What should I offer? What's the most I should pay?
I forgot to add that I had checked KBB, $25, 510
Oh, and I am pre-approved with my bank. That should give me leverage right?
