The bike is a year 2004. The engine has only 6000 miles on it. A full tune up has recently been done ( oil change, filter change, new chain,new brakes, all the basic good stuff). The body is in perfect condition and it has never been in an accident or been layed down.
The seller is asking for $4500 or best offer. When I ask around, people suggest I pay no more than $4000 for it. After research this model bike in "excellent condition" sells for about $3700 according to Kelly Blue Book. I obviously don't wish to pay the full $4500 for it. How much would you price the bike (honestly please, If you don't know please don't answer) at after this tuneup and such low mileage? Also how would you go about making your offer? I intend to offer slightly below what he might sell for with with cash in hand, and then raise it slightly if needed. Coming with the cash on me should allow me to gain his interest in selling to me at a discount. Thanks!
